Disposable plastic plates should not be used because they are made of non-biodegradable material, i.e., plastic. They can cause pollution, block drains and harm animals.

Non-biodegradable materials do not decompose naturally or even artificially by any means. The only thing we can do with non-biodegradable materials is to reduce, reuse and recycle them. So disposable plastic plates should not be used.

Therefore option (D) is correct
