Given polynomial is   2x^2 + 7x + 3

We need to factorise the middle term into two terms such that their product is equal to 2 \times 3 = 6 and their sum is equal to 7

We can solve it as

\Rightarrow 12x^2 - 7x + 1

\Rightarrow 2x^2+6x+x+3                                                       (\because 6 \times 1 = 6 \ \ and \ \ 6+1 = 7)

\Rightarrow 2x(x+3)+1(x+3)

\Rightarrow (2x+1)(x+3)
