We have,
              p^2 + 6 p - 16 = p^{2} + 8p - 2p - 16
                                          = p(p + 8) -2(p + 8)
                                           =(p - 2)(p + 8)
Therefore,
                 p^2 + 6 p - 16=(p - 2)(p + 8)
