Given matrix: \small \begin{bmatrix} 1 &2 \\ 3 & 4 \end{bmatrix}= A

Then we have,

A_{11} = 4, A_{12}=-(1)3, A_{21} = -(1)2,\ and\ A_{22}= 1

Hence we get:

adjA = \begin{bmatrix} A_{11} & A_{12} \\ A_{21} &A_{22} \end{bmatrix}^T = \begin{bmatrix} A_{11} & A_{21} \\ A_{12} &A_{22} \end{bmatrix} = \begin{bmatrix} 4 & -2 \\ -3 &1 \end{bmatrix}
