2.(i)  Find p(0), p(1) and p(2) for each of the following polynomials:

   (i)    p(y)= y^2 - y + 1

Given polynomial is

p(y)= y^2 - y + 1

Now, 

p(0)= (0)^2 - 0 + 1= 1

p(1)= (1)^2 - 1 + 1 = 1

p(2)= (2)^2 - 2 + 1 = 3

Therefore, values of p(0), p(1) and p(2) are 1 , 1 and 3 respectively
