f(x)=\sin ( x + a )

Now, As we know the chain rule of derivative,

[f(g(x))]'=f'(g(x))\times g'(x)

Applying this property we get,

f'(x)=\cos ( x + a )\times 1

f'(x)=\cos ( x + a )
