Q.3.16.    Give reasons why copper is used to make hot water tanks and not steel (an alloy of iron).

This is because steel contains iron which reacts with steam and form iron oxide. Whereas copper doesn't react with cold water, hot water and steam.

That's why hot water tanks are made up of copper not steel.
