- Chronic diseases: The diseases which last for a long period (in some cases for a lifetime) are termed Chronic diseases.
Examples – Elephantiasis and Tuberculosis.
- Infectious diseases: The diseases caused by infectious agents such as viruses, bacteria, fungi, and protozoans are termed infectious diseases.
Examples are chicken Pox and HIV/Aids.
- Non-infectious diseases: The disease which cannot be transmitted via infecting agents are termed Non-infectious diseases.
Examples are cancer and Diabetes.
