Classification involves grouping organisms into a formal system based on similarities and differences. Two species are more closely related if they have more characteristics in common and if two species are closely related then it means they have a more recent common ancestor. We classify organisms according to their characteristics which is similar to the things we analyze in evaluation. Hence both areas of study are interlinked.
