If A and B are two matrices of the order 3 × m and 3 × n, respectively, and m = n, then the order of matrix (5A - 2B) is
A. m × 3
B. 3 × 3
C. m × n
D. 3 × n

 

Answers (1)

As order of A is 3 × m and order of B is 3 × n

As m = n. So, order of A and B is same = 3 × m

∴ Subtraction can be carried out.

And (5A - 3B) also has same order.

Hence option D is  correct
