The answer is the option (b) ±5

Given: A(a,0,1) & B(0,1,2)

& OP = \sqrt{(a-0)^{2}+(0-1)^{2}+(1-2)^{2}} 

                  = \sqrt{27} 

Thus, a2 + 2 = 27

a2 = 25

a = ±5
