The given statement is false,

Let        x be 2 

             A = { 1,2,3}

             B = { 4,5,6,7}

Here, 2 \in  { 1,2,3} = x \in A   and   { 1,2,3} \not \subset  { 4,5,6,7} = A \not \subsetB

But,  2\notin { 4,5,6,7}  implies  x \notin B
