The numbering starts from right  to left. At the 1st and 3rd position alcohol group (-OH) is present and is designated as 1,3,diiol which is the suffix.

 

At the 2nd and 5th position, there are methyl groups and is designated as 2,5-dimethyl which is a prefix.

 

The parent carbon chain has 6 carbon atoms and is named as hexane.

 

So, the IUPAC name of the compound is 2,5-dimethylhexane-1,3,diol.
