Given that the population of Rajasthan = 570 lakhs and

population of UP = 1660 lakhs
Area of Rajasthan = 3\: lakh \: km^{2}
and area of UP = 2\: lakh \: km^{2}

Now,

(a) Number of peoples per km^2
In Rajasthan, = \frac{population}{area}
                       =\frac{570}{3}= 190

In UP,
\frac{population}{area} = \frac{1160}{2}
                          = 580

(b) Rajasthan is less populated, as we can see that the number of people in per km^2 is less
