When the tapping key is just closed, the current flows in the coil in a clockwise direction when viewed from the left and hence magnetic flux linked with it starts increasing. According to Lenz’s law, the induced current in the adjoining coil should be set up in a direction to oppose the growth of magnetic flux linked with the coil.
It will happen so, if the direction of the magnetic field produced by the induced current flows in the adjoining coil in an anticlockwise direction i.e., the induced current is produced in the direction YZX.
Hence, the direction of the induced current is along y-z-x.
