The given situation is shown in the figure:-  

                               Chapter - 4, Q. 4.12, 20117

Since both rain and woman are having some velocity so we need to find the relative velocity of rain with respect to woman.

                             V\ =\ V_{rain}\ +\ (-V_{woman})

                                     =\ 30\ +\ (-10)

                                     =\ 20\ m/s

The angle is given by : 

                            \tan\Theta \ =\ \frac{V_{woman}}{V_{rain}}

                            \tan\Theta \ =\ \frac{10}{30}

                                    \Theta \ \approx \ 18^{\circ}

Hence woman needs to hold an umbrella at 18 degrees from vertically towards the south.
