\\3( x + 2 ) + 5x - 7 \\= 3x + 6 + 5x - 7 \\= 8x - 1 \\= 8 \times (2) - 1 \\= 16 - 1 \\= 15

If x is equal to 2 the value of 3( x + 2 ) + 5x - 7 = 15

3(x+2)+5x−7=3x+6+5x−7=3x+5x+6−7
=8x−1
=8×2−1       [Putting x=−1]
=16−1
=15.
