“Soil is formed by water.” If you agree to this statement then give reasons
The soil is made up of rocks (which are aggregations of minerals). As water flows over the rocks containing soluble minerals, some of them get dissolved in the water. Water is an essential constituent of healthy, productive soils. It serves to bind and secure the physical particulates in soil structure and is the medium by which natural chemicals and essential trace element nutrients are transported to plants. Water enters soil both downwardly, through precipitation, or it is drawn up from deposits in underlying layers of rock or subsoil. This movement has the effect of binding the minerals together as it occupies the microscopic porous spaces between the mineral particles. The importance of water cannot be overstated; in addition to sustaining all life on Earth, it plays an important role in the formation of soil.
