Area of table = 

=\frac{1}{2}\times sum \, of \, parallel\, sides\times distance\, between\, parallel\, sides

=\frac{1}{2}\times\left ( 1+1.2 \right )\times 0.8

= 0.4\times 2.2

=0.88 m^{2}
