Given that,
The two sides of the triangle are 12 cm and 14 cm. let the third side be A.
And the perimeter of the triangle is 36cm.

Therefore, the Perimeter of the triangle
  = sum of all sides of the triangle
  = 12cm +14cm + A = 36cm
  = A + 26cm =36cm
  = A = 10cm
