    (iv)    p(x) = (x + 1)(x-2), x = -1,2

Given polynomial is   p(x) = (x+1)(x-2)

Now, at  x = 2   it's value is 

p(2) = (2+1)(2-2) = 0

And at x = -1

p(-1) = (-1+1)(-1-2) = 0

Therefore, yes  x = 2 , -1   are zeros of  polynomial  p(x) = (x+1)(x-2)
