The amino acids which are required for the body and can be synthesised in the body are known as non-essential amino acids.  E.g., Glycine, Alanine. Whereas, the amino acids that are required by our body but cannot be synthesised by it and should be taken through diet are known as essential amino acids. E.g.  Valine, Leucine
