Infectious diseases are spread through the following means :
(i) Water: Diseases like cholera are spread through contaminated water.
(ii) Air: Common colds and pneumonia are spread through sneezing, and coughing through air.
(iii) Sexual contact: AIDS or syphilis are transmitted through sexual contact.
(iv) Animals: Some diseases like malaria, and dengue are spread through mosquitos.
