Unidentate ligands: ligands that have only one donor site are known as unidentate ligands. E.g., Cl -, NH3

Bidentate(or didentate):-The ligands which have two donor sites are known as bidentate ligands.  E.g., Ethane-1,2 diamine, Oxalate ion

Ambidentate ligands are the ligands that can attach themselves to the central metal through two different atoms. E.g., NO2, SCN
