In the above figure, 
The total shaded part = 
\Rightarrow \frac{1}{4} +\frac{1}{8}+\frac{1}{8} = \frac{1}{2}

Therefore, the percentage of the shaded part
\Rightarrow \frac{1}{2}\times 100 = 50\%
