Answer:  The correct option is (c) Leishmania

Solution: Ascaris causes Ascariasis in the small intestines. This is caused by a parasitic roundworm called Ascaris lumbricoides. Trypanosoma is a parasitic protozoan which causes Trypanosomiasis (sleeping sickness). Leishmania is the parasitic protozoan which causes the disease kala-azar. This disease is transmitted by the bite of infected femalsandflieses.
