best_answer

Immunization is the process of keeping someone from getting contagious diseases by making their immune system stronger against certain germs. Vaccines, which contain weaker, inactivated, or genetically modified types of microorganisms that cause disease, are used to do this. When the vaccine enters the body, it starts an immune response that eventually makes antibodies and memory cells. These memory cells help the body better spot and fight infections from the same pathogen in the future.
It is of two different types:

  1. Active immunization: For example, the polio vaccine and the measles vaccine both use active immunization to give the body an antigen that it can then use to make its protection.
  2. Passive immunization involves the direct transfer of antibodies that have already been made. For example, antibodies can be passed from a mother to her child through breast milk or antiserum shots.
