(a) No. of Q atoms per unit in ccp lettice (N) = 4

    No. of tetrahedral voids = 2N

                                                =2 \times 4=8

    Voids occupied by P =\frac{2}{3} \times 8=\frac{16}{3}

    formula

                    \begin{aligned} &={P_{\frac{16}{3}}} Q_{4}\\ &\begin{array}{l} =P_{16} O_{12} \\ =P_{4} Q_{3} \end{array} \end{aligned}

(b)    KCl will show Schottky deflect because the size of the cation (K^+) and anion (Cl^-) is almost similar.
