A bar magnet is moved in the direction indicated by the arrow between two coils PQ and CD. Predict the direction of the induced current in each coil.
The north pole of the magnet is moving away from the coil PQ. To oppose this the right end of PQ will become south so that current flows in the anticlockwise direction in the coil PQ.
For coil CD south pole is approaching to it. So to oppose it the left end of the coil becomes south pole, so, induced current as seen from the left end will be clockwise.
