(2)\: \: 2 M n O_{4}^{2}+5 S o_{3}^{2-}+6 H^{+} \rightarrow 2 M n^{2+}+5 S O_{4}^{2-}+3 H_{2} O

(b) Orange colour of  Cr_2O_7^{2-}  changes to yellow due to formation of  CrO_4^{2-} when treated with an alkali.
