How Birbal met Akbar ?

The original name of Birbal was Mahesh Das. He was very wise commander of Akbar's court. He was one of the Navaratanas of Akbar.

Once upon a time Akbar went out for hunting, he and his courtiers lost their way and stuck at a point where three ways were originating. There they saw a man named Mahesh das. Akbar asked him ,"which one of the three ways is going to Agra?". Man replied calmly none of the ways are going to agra. This made Akbar angry and he wondered why the man is confusing them. Meanwhile the man said none of ways go to Agra as Ways don't go the places but the people travelling on the ways go to the desired places. 

Akbar suddenly understood that he was asking the wrong question and he also understood that the man was no ordinary man. 

Akbar offered the man a ring and asked him to visit his court someday. That man later famously known as birbal.

That's how Akbar firstly met birbal.
