How is the amount of light entering the eye controlled ?

The iris of the eye adjusts the pupil based on the intensity of the light received in order to control the amount of light being entered in Eye. 

If the amount of light received is large then the iris contracts the pupil and when the amount of light received is less then it expands the pupil.
