r _1 = 7c m \\\\ r _2 = 14 cm \\\\ \angle AOC = 40 \degree

angle subtended in shaded region = 360 - 40 = 320 

Area of shaded region = \frac{320}{360} \pi r^2_2 - \frac{3 20 }{360 } \times \pi r^2_1

= \frac{8}{9} \pi \left [ r ^2 _ 2 - ^ 2 _ 1 \right ]\\\\ \frac{8}{9} \times \frac{22}{7} \times \left [ 14 ^2 - 7 ^ 2 \right ] = 8/9 \times 22/7 \times (196 - 49 )\\\\ = 8/9 \times 22/7 \times 147 = \frac{8 \times 22 \times 7}{3} = 410 . 67

Area of shaded region = 410.67 cm^2
