Mina and Kate take part in 100 meter race. Mina runs at 6 km/h. Mina gives Kate a head start of 5 meters (distance), but still beats her by 5 seconds. What is the speed of Kate?

Time taken by Mina = 100 ÷ (5/3) = 60 s
Kate takes 5 sec more ⇒ 65 s
She runs 95 m, so speed = 95 ÷ 65 = 19/13 m/s ≈ 1.46 m/s
