Solve the following system of equations 3x - 4y = 25, -2x + y = -10

Answers (1)

3x - 4y = 25...(i)

-2x + y = -10...(ii)

Equation (i) + 4 x Equation (ii)

3x - 4y - 8x + 4y = 25 - 40

-5x = -15

x = 3

Put value of x in equation (ii)

- 6 + y = -10

y = -4 

Hence value of and y is 3 and -4 respectively.
