It is important to monitor TSH levels during pregnancy. High TSH levels and hypothyroidism can especially affect chances of miscarriage. Therefore, proper medication in consultation with a doctor is required to regulate/control the proper functioning of the thyroid gland.

b) Thyroid Stimulating Hormone stimulates thyroid follicular cells to release thyroxine and triiodothyronine.

c) Because the higher level of TSH in the body while pregnancy can lead to premature birth, miscarriage, that's why TSH level during pregnancy should be lower than the normal nonpregnancy TSH level.

d) A proper medication in consultation with a doctor is required to
regulate/control the proper functioning of the thyroid gland.
