best_answer

Given Charges are 5μC and -20μC.
Distance between them = 30cm =0.3 m
Distance of each charges from the midpoint=r = 0.3/2 = 0.15 m

Strength of field at midpoint=E=\frac{1}{4 \pi \varepsilon }\left[\frac{\left(q_{1}\right)}{r^{2}}+\frac{q_{2}}{r^{2}}\right]

So

 E=\frac{1}{4 \pi \varepsilon }\left[\frac{\left(5 * 10^{-6}\right)}{0.15^{2}}-\frac{20*10^{-6}}{0.15^{2}}\right]=\left(9 \times 10^{\wedge} 9\right)\left[\frac{\left(5 * 10^{-6}\right)}{0.15^{2}}-\frac{20 * 10^{-6}}{0.15^{2}}\right]\\ E=-6*10^6 \ N
