Width = 6 m

Depth = 1.5 m

Speed = 10km/hr

Length of the canal in 1 hour  = 10 km

length of the canal in 30 minutes  = \mathrm{\frac{10}{2} = 5km = 5000m}

Volume of water flowing through the canal in 30 min.

                                                            = 5000\times 6 \times 1.5 = 45000m^2

Area Irrigated    = \frac{45000}{\frac{8}{100}}

                            \mathrm{= 562500 m^2}
