The area bounded  by the curve \small y=x^4,x=1,x=5  and \small x-axis


The area of the required region = area of ABCD
\\=\int_{1}^{5}ydx\\ =\int_{1}^{2}x^4dx\\ =[\frac{x^5}{5}]_1^2\\ =625-\frac{1}{5}\\ =624.8
Hence the area of the shaded region is 624.8 sq. units.
