The integral of the above equation is 

\\=\int (\frac{\cos 2x+2\sin^2x}{\cos^2x})dx\\ =\int (\frac{\cos 2x+(1-\cos 2x)}{\cos^2x}\\ =\int\frac{1}{\cos^2x}\\ =\int \sec^2x\ dx =\tan x+C

Thus after evaluation, the value of integral is tanx+ c
