 As the resistance is divided into 20 pieces, so resistance of each piece =\mathrm{R} / 20
For 10 equal parts in series times \frac{R}{20}=\frac{R}{2}\mathrm{R}_1=10 \ 

For 10 other equal parts in parallel
\mathrm{R}_2=\frac{1}{10} \times \frac{R}{20}=\frac{R}{200}
For R_1 and R_2 in series,
\mathrm{R} ;=\frac{R}{2}+\frac{R}{200}=\frac{(100+1) R}{200}=\frac{101}{200} R
