Starch -

A polymer of \alpha-D-glucose that consists of having two components , amylose ( water soluble unbranched chain ) and amylopectin ( water insoluble having branched chain)

Amylose :  \alpha , 1-4 glycosidic linkage 

Amylopectin :  \alpha ,1,4 linkage and \alpha ,1,6 linkage
