The relation between the number of atoms and moles

1 mole = 6.023 x1023 Atoms

and

The relation between the volume and moles

PV=nRT

Given,

V = 20 mL = 20/1000 L

 R = 0.083 L bar  mol-1 K-1

T = 273 K at STP

Now, putting the value

1.0 \times \frac{20}{1000}=\textup{n} \times 0.083 \times 273

\textup{n} = 8.8 \times 10 ^{-4}

Now,  1 mole of Cl gas = 6.023 x1023 molecules

Then 8.8 x 10-4 mole of Cl2 gas =  8.8 x 10-4 x 6.023 x1023 molecules

Then 8.8 x 10-4 mole of Cl2 gas =  5.3 x 1020 molecules

Now, Clgas has 2 Cl atoms, So total number of Cl atoms will be

=  2 x 5.3 x 1020 atoms

= 1.06 x 1021 atoms

\approx 1 \times 10^{21}

ANs = 1
