No. of image formed

a)    If  \frac{360^{0}}{\theta}  even number

Number of image =\frac{360^{0}}{\theta}-1 

b)    If  \frac{360^{0}}{\theta}  odd  number

Number of image = \frac{360^{0}}{\theta}-1

If object is placed on the angle bisector.

b)    If \frac{360^{0}}{\theta}  odd  number

Number of image = \frac{360^{0}}{\theta}

If object is not placed on the angle bisector.

n=\frac{360^{0}}{\theta} = \frac{360^{0}}{72}=5

since n is odd and it is not placed on angle bisector hence number of images is n = 5
