Number of Moles -

No of moles = given mass of substance/ molar mass of substance

 HCOOH\xrightarrow[]{H_{2}SO_{4}} CO\ \: \: \:+\ \: \: \: \: H_{2}O

\frac{2.3}{46} = \frac{1}{20}                     \frac{1}{20} mole                (H2O is absorbed by H2SO4)

H_{2}C_{2}O_{4}\xrightarrow[]{H_{2}SO_{4}} CO\ \, \, +\ \: \: \: CO_{2} + H_{2}O

\frac{4.5}{90} = \frac{1}{20}                \frac{1}{20} mole      (CO2 is absorbed by KOH and H2O   by H2SO4)

Total moles of CO is 0.1 mole i.e. 2.8 gm.
