As we learnt in

Total internal energy -

U= U_{K}+U_{P}

- wherein

Change in internal energy

Delta U= nfrac{f}{2}RDelta T

(Always)

f is degree of freedom

Internal energy of a system is

U=U_{1}+U_{2}

=n_{1}C_{V1}T+n_{2}C_{V2}T

n_{1}=2, C_{V1}=\frac{fR}{2}=\frac{5R}{2}

n_{2}=4, C_{V2}=\frac{3R}{2}

\therefore U =\left ( 2\times \frac{5R}{2} +4\times \frac{3R}{2}\right )T

or    U = 11RT

Correct option is 4.

Option 1)

4 RT

Option 3)
