P -N junction as diode -

It is a one way device. It offers a low resistance when forward biased and high resistance when reverse biased.

R  ightarrow infty Reverse

 

The potential difference =10V

since diode is ideal and it is in forward biased mode it will not offer resistance 

\therefore \Delta V_{AB}=10V\\ R=1K\Omega \\ I=\frac{10V}{1K\Omega }=10^{-2}A
