The tendency to act as lewis acid increases with a decrease in the extent of p\pi-p\pi back bonding. In BF_3, there is 2p\pi-2p\pi , in BCl_3 there is 2p\pi-3p\pi , and in BBr_3 there is 2p\pi-4p\pi

Due to back bonding, there is partial completion of the octet and the tendency to accept lone pair from lewis base decreases gradually as BBr_3>BCl_3>BF_3

The correct answer is option 3.
