\Rightarrow -2\frac{1}{9}-6 = \frac{-19}{9} - 6 = \frac{-19}{9} - \frac{6}{1}

LCM of 9 and 1 will be, 9

Hence, 

\Rightarrow \frac{-19}{9} - \frac{6}{1} = \frac{-19}{9} - \frac{6\times9}{1\times9}

\Rightarrow \frac{-19}{9} - \frac{54}{9} = \frac{-73}{9}.
