(i)\frac{7}{9}-\frac{2}{5} =\frac{7 \times 5-9 \times2}{45}=\frac{17}{45} \\ (ii) 2 \frac{1}{5}-\frac{(-1)}{3}=\frac{11}{5}+\frac{1}{3}=\frac{11 \times 3+ 1 \times 5}{15}=\frac{38}{15}

1). 7/9-2/5=7*5-2*9/45

=35-18/45

=17/45

2).11/5-(-1)/3

=11/5+1/3

=11*3+1*5/15

33+5/15
